76 years of helping babies!

DONATE NOW

Over the last 76 years the March of Dimes has developed the cure for polio and created surfactin (improves the lung development of premature babies). Those are just two of the major accomplishments of the March of Dimes and they continue to help prevent prematue births and prevent birth defects.

Why We do This.........

This became a personal cause for Jenny and Lanny when our son Myles Porter Gridley passed away a few hours after birth in November of 2008. Through this personal experience it raised our awareness of the March of Dimes organization. March of Dimes is working to end premature births and to end birth defects.

Jenny and Lanny along with a few close family members and friends joined the March for Babies walk in 2009. In 2010 we started our own team called Miles for Myles Gridley in memory of our son. We were amazed with the turnout with 24 team members and as a group we raised $4,000 for the March of Dimes. In 2011 we had another great turnout and raised over $6,000 as a team. In 2012 we raised close to $11,000 as a team and were the top fundraising team in the state of Kansas! 2013 was another amazing year with the team raising around $10,500. That is over $31,000 raised by our team in just 4 years! That is AMAZING!! We thank all those that support us each year and all those that have joined the team over the years.

Unfortunately many families are affected by pre-mature births and birth defects in babies. Our team includes those that have been directly affected by experiences like ours as well as the friends and family that come out to support them and this great cause.

We would love to have you join the team and walk with us. You can raise your own donations that way and join in with the group walking. Or if you can't join the walk but would like to donate please visit the donate page on the website to learn how to donate to the team or an individual walker. If you can't donate or walk that is fine too and we appreciate your support of this great cause.
